I have found sources stating that she taught in the University of Ontario from 1977 to 1988 and moved to Winnipeg in 1990, and others (Times obit) saying she taught in Ontario for one year, and went to Winnipeg in 1980. Since every source I could find agrees she taught for 20 years in the Univesity of Manitoba, and that she had been in Winnipeg for 16 years before being appointed Chancellor of the University of Winnipeg, I have asumed that the first sources were off by a decade. However, if you know anything that cannot be found with a google search, please correct the article.

Winnipeg dates confirmed

Shields definitely moved to Winnipeg in 1980, not 1990. She came here with her husband, Donald, who was appointed dean of the faculty of engineering at the the University of Manitoba. I live in Winnipeg and followed her career here. Blondeonblonde 00:23, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

who is ryan hill?

why has the name ryan hill been inserted into this article on carol shields? Certainly it should be her husband, Donald?
