Spelling of name
The article says Catherine "endorsed" variant spellings. That means she specifically favored variations. Is there any reason to believe that? Does any source suggest it? I would guess she simply "used" variant spellings as was usual at the time, and wasn't "endorsing" anything, so the article gives a misleading impression. Zaslav (talk) 15:20, 15 January 2025 (UTC)
:Agreed. I've removed 'endorsed'. Celia Homeford (talk) 15:29, 15 January 2025 (UTC)
"without reference to the pope (sic)"
Seriously? I think you mean "Pope". There's no way I can see to edit this topic, either. Also, some of the captions to the photos can't even be consistent with the spelling of her name. It's like the Wild West here. I don't remember seeing this level of chaos in the Encyclopedia Britannica back in the 20th Century. 'Course, not many folks here will remember that. 2601:600:A400:91B0:E162:C86F:712B:AA5D (talk) 04:53, 11 April 2025 (UTC)
:MOS:JOB suggests that capitalization only applies to the current pope: "a substitute for their name during their time in office." Any help?: AntientNestor (talk) 08:28, 11 April 2025 (UTC)
