I will just add as I go for now. Please excuse me if it seems a little sloppy, and feel free to copyedit as you see fit.

:A CBC audio and text story, b/w still photo, and interviews at the Rocky Mountain House race start point. This may have been Victoria Day, a national holiday in Canada

• August 28, 1967

:An Ottawa Journal article 3 months and 3,010 miles further east in the race "right on schedule at 4 p.m." Written from the Ottawa River at Campbell's Bay, Quebec

• The 10 official teams westish to eastish were: Yukon, British Columbia, North West Territories, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Québec, Ontario, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia.
• Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland (the two remaining provinces) are not listed as entered. This may be because they could not use their own style of canoe.
• Dawson Creek did not qualify for an official entry possibly because they had recently completed the longest highway in the world, and didn't need canoes anymore. In spite this, a group from that area decided to canoe to Expo 67 unofficially.
• Route maps. They may have taken one, more, or none of these.
• That is all I have so far. Excuse the humour, but there are a few facts in that humour that I hope to cite for the article. It may be good fun for others to cite them before I can. A book was written by one of the voyageurs called 'Canada by Canoe'. We should be able to find the author's name. I know of an heir to many Kodachrome 64 slides that were taken by another of the voyageurs on his trip, and am sure we can get originals as public domain.

Although Victoria day was not the actual day the race started, it was her birthday. This probably has some signifigance, but we need to cite why that date was chosen 1st.

There are some here that have public access to a wikipedian or friend that happens to be there with a digital camera or scanner. They have scanners and photcopiers on site for a fee.
