German occupation should be changed better to at that time part of the German Empire because the claims where strong on both sides for the area at that time and nobody would state in 1918 till 1939 occupied by France.--134.76.234.75 17:03, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

umlaut

Munch dropped the umlaut from his family name early in his career. Why keep it here? Paul (User:Lpgeffen) (talk) 02:15, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

:I am thinking of moving the article to: "Charles Munch (conductor)" since Munch did not spell his name with a diarisis in his adult life or in his career. Calling him "Münch" is pedantic and really inaccurate. Any Thoughts? Markhh (talk) 20:59, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

Yes, please make that change. I've been a fan of his for decades and the only place I have seen the umlaut other than on a German source is here. 69.122.71.171 (talk) 01:48, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

I see no objections, so I have made the change to: Charles Munch (conductor). Markhh (talk) 00:31, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
