Notability

The Marquess Townshend is a high ranking British Peer. He only succeeded to the title last week so the info. still needs expanding. All his predecessors in the title have wikipedia articles.

: I don't think just the title meets WP:GNG, but will remove the CSD and convert it to a WP:PROD, once you think the article meets the WP:GNG then remove the WP:PROD. Codf1977 (talk)

::I have removed the prod on the basis that I think he's sufficiently notable. I realise being a peer isn't necessarily notable in itself, but he's a peer in his own right rather than a courtesy peer, and he's very senior. Looking at the List of Marquesses, all but a handful of the thirty-five current ones have their own page, and I suspect that the ones that don't have generally acceded to their titles only recently (although I admit I haven't checked!). I note also that it's sourced and therefore fulfils the criteria for retention set out in the new sticky prod (BLP) guidelines. If others disagree, I suggest nominating for deletion via AfD and it can be discussed further. Thanks! talkGiler 16:59, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

Problems with listing references for heir's marriage

I have tried listing sources, but Wikipedia claims that I am spamming. I tried tinyurl, which made things worse. I don't have time to keep fixing this. I used to be a contributor under the name "Wikibiohistory", came back, only to discover this new policy. I really cannot produce online references if this continues. I wanted to update this page, but if this policy continues, why bother? Really very very frustrated at the end of 15-20 minutes of work. Wikibiohistory2 (talk) 14:29, 26 November 2012 (UTC)
