Precision
The first criterion of an article name is precision, but Chasles' theorem (geometry) is ambiguous. The current content does not jibe with:
- [http://www.cut-the-knot.org/pythagoras/Chasles/Chasles.shtml Chasles' Theorem] at Cut-the-Knot,
- [http://www.maths.gla.ac.uk/wws/cabripages/chasles/chasles.html Chasles Theorem] from University of Glasgow,
- or in John J. O'Connor’s [http://www-history.mcs.st-and.ac.uk/~john/geometry/Lectures/L24.html Conics].
An Internet Archive link to Traite des Secions Coniques has been added to the article to facilitate the determination of what article(s) might be given Chasles' name.Rgdboer (talk) 01:50, 27 October 2016 (UTC)
