Erroneous information
{{atop|result=Not done. — The Hand That Feeds You:Bite 19:49, 16 April 2025 (UTC)}}
There are now legislative hearings concerning funding for cloud seeding and numerous articles that point to its use, both as a weapon and for weather manipulation. This article blatantly spreads misinformation and should be deleted or otherwise edited to reflect updated information based what has come to light.
Below are links to resources, including government website resources that clearly contradict the misinformation of this article.

:WP has articles on cloud seeding, Operation Popeye, weather manipulation, Climate engineering, Biological warfare, Chemical warfare and about 7 000 000 million other things. What do these sources you linked say about chemtrails, which is the topic of this article? Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 17:22, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
::“Those who subscribe to the theory speculate that the purpose of the chemical release may be solar radiation management, weather modification, psychological manipulation, human population control, biological or chemical warfare, or testing of biological or chemical agents on a population, and that the trails are causing respiratory illnesses and other health problems.”
::This article gives the impression that none of the above is done whether you call it chemtrailing or cloud seeding. It would seem to be a matter of semantics. I suggest it would be more accurate to indicate that what is called chemtrails are cloud seeding; and it is not a theory but a fact that chemical additives are sprayed with past and present intentions of warfare and weather manipulation and the health impact of at least some of these chemicals on a consistent broad scale is stated to be generally unknown. This is the use of other intentional technologies rather than simply the emissions from planes being left. I imagine that WP has articles on this as well. 2600:6C4E:177F:5F38:4914:945A:E2C0:F032 (talk) 15:41, 27 March 2025 (UTC)
:::For cloud seedings see, err, Cloud seeding. This is an article about a conspiracy theory. Bon courage (talk) 15:46, 27 March 2025 (UTC)
:::{{tq|I suggest it would be more accurate to indicate that what is called chemtrails are cloud seeding}}
:::I'm afraid that is completely inaccurate. Cloud seeding is one thing, the "chemtrails" conspiracy theory is that the government is spraying mind-controlling chemicals into the sky & claiming they're harmless jet contrails. It's a nonsensical conspiracy theory, but a notable one, and unrelated to the actual scientific practice of cloud seeding. — The Hand That Feeds You:Bite 16:36, 27 March 2025 (UTC)
::::I quoted the article WP article, copied and pasted. It states more than what you have just shared. Cloud seeding is spraying chemicals in the sky, for at least one disclosed reason, weather modification. The article calls this a conspiracy theory.
::::“The claim has been dismissed by the scientific community. There is no evidence that purported chemtrails differ from normal water-based contrails routinely left by high-flying aircraft under certain atmospheric conditions.”
::::But it is stated that there is cloud seeding with chemicals. Why is this claim dismissed? Because of nomenclature?
::::“Proponents have tried to prove that chemical spraying occurs, but their analyses have been flawed or based on misconceptions.”
::::Because they are called something different does not dismiss that it is happening.
::::”Because of the conspiracy theory's persistence and questions about government involvement, scientists and government agencies around the world have repeatedly explained that the supposed chemtrails are in fact normal contrails.”
::::The government and research organizations cloud seed for the purposes stated in this article that are being called conspiracy theories.
::::“The term 'chemtrail' is a portmanteau of the words 'chemical' and 'trail', just as 'contrail' blends 'condensation' and 'trail'.”
::::So is it inaccurate to call chemicals being sprayed in the air for weather modification a conspiracy theory? 2600:6C4E:177F:5F38:D19E:CA75:6671:DDEC (talk) 19:35, 27 March 2025 (UTC)
:::::This article is about the conspiracy theory. Stuff that is about something else goes somewhere else on Wikipedia. Not sure how this is hard? Bon courage (talk) 19:42, 27 March 2025 (UTC)
::::::But what this article states is a conspiracy theory is not. Do you find that difficult? 2600:6C4E:177F:5F38:2CFF:5519:74B0:98 (talk) 20:15, 27 March 2025 (UTC)
:::::::That's just parrotting the conspiracy theory. Wikipedia isn't going to indulge such fuckwittery. Bon courage (talk) 20:18, 27 March 2025 (UTC)
:::::::"long-lasting condensation trails left in the sky by high-flying aircraft are actually "chemtrails" consisting of chemical or biological agents, sprayed for nefarious purposes undisclosed to the general public."
:::::::Conspiracy theory.
:::::::cloud seeding, Operation Popeye, weather manipulation, Climate engineering, Biological warfare, Chemical warfare
:::::::Not conspiracy theory. You can of course make ct:s involving them. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 20:59, 27 March 2025 (UTC)
::::::::If anyone still believes those streaming trails of white/gray disbursements consists solely of water vapor has fallen for just another lie. RFKj has acknowledged it and there's actually a Sky Watch number (734-214-4432) you can call. 72.0.184.8 (talk) 14:43, 16 April 2025 (UTC)
:::::::::Do you have reliable sources, because RFK has none. The telephone number doesn't work btw. - Roxy the dog 14:50, 16 April 2025 (UTC)
:{{not done}} None of the citations mention chemtrails. 2600:6C4E:177F:5F38:7939:E02E:551B:6D9E is conflating the unproven allegation that {{tq|long-lasting condensation trails left in the sky by high-flying aircraft are actually "chemtrails"}} with other technologies. :That would be about geoengineering, not a conspiracy theory, right? Bon courage (talk) 20:39, 22 May 2025 (UTC)
:"Aria’s programme was recently called a “dangerous distraction” from cutting emissions by senior scientists, who called SRM “barking mad” and akin to treating cancer with aspirin." That's interesting for many kinds of passionate debate, but it's off-topic for this WP-article. When those details of the projects funded by Aria appears, consider adding something well-cited about it at Geoengineering. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 04:41, 23 May 2025 (UTC)

This is spreading of false information, which is subject to lawful penalty. Remove the words “conspiracy theory” from the title as the this a known fact chemical trails are produced & spread by aviation craft. 2601:285:C800:D470:71AF:4CE8:2546:F2A5 (talk) 12:20, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
{{not done}} Both because the request is not of the form "please change X to Y" and because there is ample evidence that this is only a conspiracy theory, Sjö (talk) 12:23, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
:There’s extensive evidence it’s not a conspiracy theory. It’s actually listed on the governments website stated as “weather modification” which includes “cloud seeding” which is produced by burning silver iodide through an ice nucleus generator that is carried into the clouds via aviation craft to “stimulate precipitation process”. 2601:285:C800:D470:71AF:4CE8:2546:F2A5 (talk) 12:36, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
::See Weather modification and Cloud seeding for separate topics which have nothing to do with a grand conspiracy of commercial airliners spraying chemicals for secret evil purposes. Bon courage (talk) 12:40, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
