Earlier invention of chess boxing

[http://www.newsshopper.co.uk/news/9933055.Chessboxing___the_bizarre_craze_that_started_in_a_Kidbrooke_youth_club/|Here is an article] which claims that chess boxing originated in Kidbrooke, SE London, in the late 1970s. This fact should feature in this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Randomgurn (talkcontribs) 09:44, 24 December 2013 (UTC)

Well, it lent its name to a Wu Tang track 20 years ago. So there's no way it was invented in 2003 :P — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.163.161.226 (talk) 00:33, 27 December 2013 (UTC)

Draw

What happens, if the chess game not just ends in a draw, but does so quickly, when there are still some boxing rounds to fight? Are the remaining boxing rounds fought out or do the boxing points decide immediately? --Alexmagnus (talk) 16:42, 14 May 2015 (UTC)

World Chess Boxing Organisation

Under the Entry for Major Organizations, it's stated that Iepe Rubuingh is the current chairman of the World Chess Boxing Organisation, but under the subheader "Chessboxing Nation" the article says he's dead and the organization has collapsed. Paradigmalex (talk) 23:48, 10 October 2022 (UTC)

Ludwig chess boxing championship

Hey, recently there was a big chess boxing event live-streamed by the YouTube channel Ludwig. I think it probably was big enough it could be put in the pop culture section or something. Ianbambooman (talk) 14:26, 12 December 2022 (UTC)

Chess Boxing and Science looks like pesudoscience

the section "chess boxing and science" is written in a weird language, without saying anything concrete. The citations given in the section also seem weird. Either the section should be rewritten or removed. Walderonn (talk) 23:00, 6 April 2024 (UTC)

:Also noticed this. It looks AI written. The section is not really about science either, but more so about Russian pedagogy or education psychology and the application of chess boxing. 94.234.73.189 (talk) 14:04, 17 March 2025 (UTC)

Requested move 20 June 2025

{{requested move/dated|Chessboxing}}

:Chess boxing → {{no redirect|Chessboxing}} – The current article title, "Chess boxing", doesn’t seem to match how the term is usually written. This article itself mostly uses "chessboxing" as one word, and that seems to be the more common form in news and online sources. To check this, I ran a few Google News searches and most results, including from The Guardian and the BBC, use the one-word version:

[https://www.google.com/search?q=%22chess+boxing%22+OR+%22chessboxing%22&sca_esv=62890ff6c1b2e448&biw=1758&bih=839&tbm=nws&ei=hZBVaOGtD5-69u8P47bygAM&ved=0ahUKEwihhNXjuYCOAxUfnf0HHWObHDAQ4dUDCA4&uact=5&oq=%22chess+boxing%22+OR+%22chessboxing%22&gs_lp=Egxnd3Mtd2l6LW5ld3MiHyJjaGVzcyBib3hpbmciIE9SICJjaGVzc2JveGluZyIyBRAhGKABMgUQIRigAUj-BlD_BFjmBXAAeACQAQCYAZEBoAGaA6oBAzMuMbgBA8gBAPgBAZgCBKACqAPCAggQABiABBiiBMICBRAAGO8FwgIHECEYoAEYCpgDAIgGAZIHAzIuMqAHww-yBwMyLjK4B6gDwgcFMC4zLjHIBwk&sclient=gws-wiz-news "chess boxing" OR "chessboxing" - Google Search] Page 1

From what I saw, "chessboxing" as a single word comes up more often in most sources. So renaming the page to "Chessboxing" could make it a better match for how people are actually writing and searching for it.

Also, since this Wikipedia article mostly uses "chessboxing" as one word, we should probably settle on either form for consisteny between the title and the article. The current situation is inconsistent. FaviFake (talk) 17:00, 20 June 2025 (UTC)
