Cheyenne Mountain article discussion

Please see the Talk:Colorado Springs, Colorado#Cheyenne Mountain (related to Cheyenne Canon) posting about the different Cheyenne Mountain articles.--CaroleHenson (talk) 22:38, 30 January 2015 (UTC)

Can I tour the area? Colrbj (talk) 17:32, 12 August 2017 (UTC)

Russell Tutt Scenic Biway

There's conflicting information about the Russell Tutt Scenic Biway - I have not been able to find anything that specifically ties the Cheyenne Mountain Highway to the Russell Tutt Scenic Biway, although I can imagine it being an honorary name. There are some references of it going from the Zoo to the Shrine, some up from the base of the mountain to the shrine, and some starting at the zoo and going to the summit.

I used the information that I found on the [http://www.visitcos.com/scenic-drives Colorado Springs Visitors Bureau] site, thinking that's probably the best place of the limited reliable sources. I have never heard it called that and unlike the "Cheyenne Mountain Highway", there is no "Russell Tutt" street of any kind [https://www.springsgov.com/units/salestax/PDF/QRstreets.pdf in the index] for Colorado Springs. (There are Tutt Boulevard and Tutt Center Point Streets, but these are entirely different streets, east of Barnes and starting at Constitution).

Does anyone know of something a bit more definitive - like when the Biway was named, where it stops and starts, etc.? Thanks!--CaroleHenson (talk) 00:24, 5 February 2015 (UTC)

Features

There used to be tunnels either on the highway, but no more. There used to be rock features, like Hell's Gate, described in a Federal Writer's Project about [https://books.google.com/books?id=EBmv2pnmNyIC&pg=PA371 Colorado], and Devil's Saddle... but I don't find any recent information.

Is there information about rock formations along the Cheyenne Mountain Highway currently? And, perhaps what happened to the tunnels (blasted for residential development, other)? Thanks!--CaroleHenson (talk) 00:33, 5 February 2015 (UTC)

Junctions

There had been a start of a table for junctions, but it just had it's starting and end point. Is a junction list standard procedure? What is a source for the junctions (e.g., google maps, something else)?

Thanks!--CaroleHenson (talk) 00:42, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
