Requested article

Writ Keeper,

Christian Perspectives on Human Sexuality was a requested article on the Christianity portal. That's why I created it. Don't just redirect the article.

:Hey, Oct13. Well, just because it's a requested article doesn't mean it's an article Wikipedia should have. I'm a little worried that this could become a soapbox for Christian perspectives too easily, and I don't think there was anything wrong with the simple section on the overarching religion page. (Not that you're making it a soapbox, of course, but I feel like it's just too tempting a target.) This article has been created and deleted once before, it seems; many of the concerns expressed there are still valid, I think. Particularly the point about the disparate sects of Christianity; with the layout you've suggested, it seems that this article would imply that all Christians are unified in their views, which is of course not true.

:By the way, don't take any offense by my redirecting it! Nothing personal; I just think that a redirect here is a better solution. I'm happy to discuss it! Thanks, Writ Keeper 16:57, 4 April 2012 (UTC)

::"Well, just because it's a requested article doesn't mean it's an article Wikipedia should have." Oh. I didn't know that.

::You do make some good points, so I guess a redirect would be fine. Oct13 (talk) 16:59, 4 April 2012 (UTC)

:::Okay, then I'll change it back to a redirect. I'll have this page on my watchlist for a while more, so if you think of another reason to keep this as a separate article, go ahead and post it here; I'd be happy to talk about it. Thanks! Writ Keeper 17:08, 4 April 2012 (UTC)
