Black Watch tartan
When the Black Watch and the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders (Campbells) were two separate regiments, their tartans were deliberately kept slightly different. The Black Watch (or government) tartan was based on the Campbell tartan, with a couple of narrow black lines added to the lay. I don't know whether that still persists with those units now merged into the Royal Regiment of Scotland - especially as the merger was partly aimed at reducing the number of different kilts and other items of Highland military dress!
