Merger proposal
WP:ONEEVENT: Cramer's claim to notability was his expose of a historian's fraud (and I fully acknowledge that event is notable). This should be a merge and redirect to either Michael A. Bellesiles or Arming America: The Origins of a National Gun Culture; if everything unreferenced in this article were removed, that redundancy would be all that would be left. Many references can certainly be added, but the significant ones are all Bellesiles-related. Doesn't meet WP:POLITICIAN or WP:ACADEMIC. THF (talk) 16:38, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
- Agreed, about the merge. SaltyBoatr (talk) 21:55, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
- No merge. -- Author is more notable for authoring a large number of books, many of which are cited even in Federal District and US Supreme Court case transcripts, and he is also known for being a widely published columnist in several publications (newspapers, magazines). Article is rather like a stub at present. Add content, and easy to obtain cites, and the notability would be obvious to all. Yaf (talk) 22:23, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
- no merge. --Hamitr (talk) 13:47, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
Agre e that a merger is a bad idea. The subject is important in hisn own right -Montestruc (talk) 02:31, 30 September 2016 (UTC) Montestruc (talk) 02:31, 30 September 2016 (UTC)
Self-publishing required for ''My Brother Ron''
Order for publications
I've re-sorted Cramer's publications to chronological order, per Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lists of works#Ordering. However, some of the order isn't entirely clear to me - is Winter 1995 before Spring 1995, or after Fall 1995? Where to sort works with only a year, when other publications occurred in the same year with more granular dates? At some point I might add in more of his recent works; there's [http://www.claytoncramer.com/scholarly/journals.htm a list at his website] which continues past the list in this article. Anonymous Accusation of Sock Puppetry
I don't know what to do about it, but alot of this looks like it was written by Cramer himself (including thought processes of his). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.191.152.111 (talk) 13:52, 2 December 2015 (UTC)
:Nah, this text has been well combed over by Wikipedians, and is mostly in "encyclopedia voice" rather than his, which will be obvious if you read his blog and publications. It's also been polished down to the "just the facts, Mam" essentials, there's no fluff, no advocacy, just a recitation of easily verifiable statements. Hga (talk) 16:22, 2 December 2015 (UTC)
