If kakapo means night-parrot, what does kakadoo mean?
Despite the existence of a chapter named etymology, there is no info about the meaning of the original word in the article, if there was an indegenous one. Such a meaning can be reasonably supposed existing since the kakapo's name is Maori for night parrot. --Ghettobuoy (talk) 13:12, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
Replacing the current feature image with a different one?
The [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Cockatoo&oldid=1088196990 current version of the Cockatoo article] is [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Eolophus_roseicapilla_-Wamboin,_NSW,_Australia_-adult-8-2cp.jpg this photo of a galah]. Personally I think that this choice of image is a little incongruous. Can I suggest that we instead have an image that features a variety of different species of cockatoos together, similar to [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eagle#/media/File:Eagles_together.jpg this image] that heads the 'Eagle' article. Thoughts on this? Stuart mcmillen (talk) 01:46, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
Something about cockatoo intelligence?
Considering adding most of the content from Tanimbar_corella#Intelligence to this article too, as it seems that this species seems to particularly well-studied in terms of its intelligence. Thoughts? Iloveparrots (talk) 18:28, 20 June 2023 (UTC)
