submanifold?
The term is very ambiguous, see submanifold. Here the open complement is mentioned. Does this mean Z is a closed submanifold? I cannot find the reference.--345Kai (talk) 17:00, 25 March 2015 (UTC)
Singular homology is compactly supported
As far as I know, singular homology is compactly supported, i.e. singular homology with compact support is isomorphic to singular homology. A remark along these lines would probably be useful to avoid confusion.
