Isn't Cold Duck also the brand name of a non-alcoholic carbonated catawba juice beverage? I don't have time to look it up but I believe a company called Meiers or Meyers makes it.

I doubt the original name "Kalte Ende", since it is not grammatically correct German, it should be "Kaltes Ende", meaning cold end, which could as well be easily switched to "Kalte Ente" - cold duck - later on.

"kalte enden" is gramatically correct and makes much more sense 72.94.97.252 (talk) 22:09, 8 April 2012 (UTC)

cold duck

I heard that cold duck was made from the people who tasted a great many wines. instead of actually drinking it, they spit it out in order to advoid the alcoholic effects thoughout the day. The "spit out" was poured into a cask and then re-fermented and the end result was called "cold duck". Is this a fabrication? Please let me know.

No doubt the person who told you that, was pulling your leg, or your finger.Flight Risk (talk) 03:56, 29 April 2016 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure the episode in which Mr. Carlin says "It's the Cold Duck talking" is [http://movies.msn.com/movies/movie.aspx?m=79502|"My Business is Shrinking"] from the 3rd season. Can anyone confirm? --Hcethatsme 02:36, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
