Merge from [[Drift (data science)]]

{{Discussion top|result=To merge on the grounds of overlap. Klbrain (talk) 10:58, 12 January 2023 (UTC)}}

As far as I can tell, the new article Drift (data science) is not about a separate concept. It might slightly focus on particular areas, but it's essentially the same? I suggest merging it here. MarioGom (talk) 11:19, 1 April 2022 (UTC)

  • oppose - concept drift is a very special case of statistical drift in data for which predictions are done in machine learning. While it is most well researched area, with the increasing use of cloud computing and increased complexity of software applications, other types of drift arise, as described in my stub. Speedy close The article was tagged "under construction. This is none of your business to remove not your tag. "Not edited for several hours" is not valid argument. People sleep, eat, shit, etc. you know. I am not a rat with an electrode in my brain to constantly click the keyboard. Loew Galitz (talk) 18:23, 1 April 2022 (UTC)

:{{u|Loew Galitz}}: Feel free to keep the "under construction tag", my merge proposal still stands. Please, do not remove it unilaterally. Best, MarioGom (talk) 16:26, 11 April 2022 (UTC)

:Actually, It could be anyone's business the template itself says {{tq|if [...] has not been edited in several hours, please remove this template.}} Happy Editing--IAmChaos 04:56, 5 July 2022 (UTC)

I think the article drift (data science) is describing several distince phenomena and should be split into their corresponding articles (or where that stuff fits best). One of the different meanings is the described in Concept drift. Biggerj1 (talk) 09:56, 17 September 2022 (UTC)

::+1 for split and merge Biggerj1 (talk) 17:17, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
