Add More Details?
Do we want to provide any links to the [https://web.archive.org/web/20020605233058/www.rsasecurity.com/rsalabs/challenges/des3/index.html original challenge page]? It's not super easy to find it independently, and it provides cool historical details like the exact ciphertext and IV for folks who want to try cracking it at home.
Also, this is "original research" and/or "self citing", but I have [https://crypto.stackexchange.com/a/109772/8287 personally confirmed] (through trial and error; one gets garbage if trying decrypting it in CTR, OFB, CFB, or ECB modes) that the exact encryption algorithm used in the RSA challenges was DES-CBC with PKCS#7 padding. Is there any appropriate channel to including those facts in the article? 24.192.101.237 (talk) 17:44, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
