Third-party vs. Bus mastering
It should be noted that Third-party is not problematic for this attack, since the CPU controls the transfer. DMA attack is possible in Bus mastering mode (aka first-party), where the peripheral controls the transfer.

IOMMU -> AMD-Vi
The article on x86 virtualization suggests that AMD's IOMMU has been renamed to AMD-Vi (presumably to avoid confusion with the regular meaning of IOMMU). I'd change the reference in this article, but I'm not an expert in the subject. Can anyone else confirm? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.92.208.11 (talk) 02:49, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
