Network expansion to one hour

"Due to the series' success, daily episodes were expanded from 30 minutes to 60 minutes on April 21, 1975."

This is incorrect. To make it correct:

"The networks wanted to double the ad revenue they received, so they expanded the shows from 30 minutes to 60 minutes in the 1970s."
