Walking for four days, grandfather dead, mother to relocate to Finland...
Batty later admitted, in his interview for The Sun that "he had fabricated a story about a four-day journey, in the hope that it would prevent police from tracking his family down." But he had also told French police that his grandfather had died and that his mother wanted to relocate to Finland. Were these also fabrications? Although we can't use it, the Daily Mail [https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12878945/alex-batty-mother-abandoned-caravan-living.html here] says "{{tq|Alex Batty's mother lived in a caravan in a remote holiday park in France for six months before 'vanishing to Finland to see the Northern Lights'.}}" Is this true?
