Notability

I'm sorry, but is this person really notable by our standards? He had a work in the Whitney Annual in 1972, and a show in a commercial art gallery in 2011. Is that really it? Which of the four criteria of WP:ARTIST does he meet? Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 20:07, 23 June 2017 (UTC)

Yes, Don Dudley is indeed a notable artist. I have just made some significant updates to the page. While Dudley's career slowed down significantly in the 1980's after his New York gallery Pam Adler Gallery http://www.lootedart.com/MFEU4Q91828 closed in 1986, since 2011 his work has been getting more and more attention including numerous commercial gallery exhibitionshttp://hamptonsarthub.com/2017/09/12/exhibitions-nyc-gallery-scene-highlights-through-september-17-2017/ http://www.mendeswooddm.com/en/exhibition/116 http://www.galeriezander.com/en/exhibitions/modular_spaces, catalogue publicationsandlung-walther-koenig.de/koenig2/index.php?mode=details&showcase=3&art=1564534 dlung-walther-koenig.de/koenig2/index.php?mode=details&showcase=3&art=1528607 as well as museum exhibitions. https://www.sfmoma.org/exhibition/between-two-worlds-art-california/ http://www.kpbs.org/news/2010/may/10/glimpse-san-diegos-modernist-past/ http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/entertainment/visual-arts/sdut-Art-Center-school-2012apr27-htmlstory.html Coil_whine (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 21:22, 15 September 2017 (UTC)
