Elder Emo
"Elder Emo" is a term of endearment granted to the emo bands that have weathered the onset of responsibilities like parenthood and other aspects of adulthood. Elder Emo intends to embrace the role of emeritus members and elder statespersons of a genre that is a little surprised by not only its own longevity and status but the sharing of adulthood with many of their fans.
