Not sure why some of the references of the USS Sanborn were deleted. Curnow was a member of the crew of the USS Sanborn and only attached to the 4th Marine Division during the duration the battle of Iwo Jima and was never a permanent member of the 4th Marine Division. He goes into great detail in his book as he was crew member from the USS Sanborn's shakedown cruise through the battle of Okinawa. More correctly he was a Corpsman on the USS Sanborn and not a member of the Marine 4th Marine Division. This is from his autobiography. Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to {{plural:1|one external link|1 external links}} on Eugene Curnow. Please take a moment to review [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=prev&oldid=712508435 my edit]. You may add {{tlx|cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{tlx|nobots|deny{{=}}InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:
- Attempted to fix sourcing for http://www.oregon.gov/OVMEB/pdfs/minutes_012906.pdf
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{tlx|Sourcecheck}}).
