Scope of EP

Evolutionary psychology (EP) can be used in a general sense about approaches within psychology that are based on the understanding that the human mind, as the human body, is a result of evolutionary processes, and in a narrow sense about a particular research paradigm within psychology that emerged from Sociobiology in the 1990'es and developed by researchers such as David Buss, Leda Cosmides, John Tooby and Steven Pinker.Scher, Steven J. and Frederick Rauscher (eds.) Evolutionary Psychology: Alternative approaches. Kluwer Academic Publications. p.xi-xii
