Hong Kong singer

@Nkon21 Do you even realise people from Mainland China and Hong Kong are both Chinese nationals? Read the [https://www.immd.gov.hk/eng/residents/immigration/chinese/law.html nationality law], please.

All Hong Kong residents of Chinese ethnicity who had the right of abode in 1997 became Chinese nationals. Stating she is a Hong Kong singer does not negate her being Chinese. And it is clearly stated in the lede that she is from Beijing. So I do not understand what is your issue with calling her a “Hong Kong singer” when most RS call her that. :Yes, I'm aware. "Hong Kong singer" is a bit weird in my opinion considering that she was born, raised, and currently lives in Beijing, China. Given this, I would support the use of "Chinese singer" or "Chinese and Hong Kong singer". Usage in reliable sources is pretty mixed between "Chinese singer" and "Hong Kong singer" as there are multiple sources, including WSJ, that refer to her as a Chinese singer (across many articles), as well as others. ɴᴋᴏɴ21 ❯❯❯ talk 03:44, 17 September 2024 (UTC)

::Ok I have no objection to calling her a Chinese singer. You are factually correct in that and I have nothing to dispute there. Best regards. Andro611 (talk) 11:59, 17 September 2024 (UTC)
