References
Normally we do not remove tags for sources unless sources have been added. And per the edit summary, not quite. External links are external links and do not count as sources, see WP:CITE for further details on how to properly reference material/sources (see external links section specifically). If external links are used as references then they need to be moved to that area. Thank you. Aboutmovies 20:06, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
:The Oehser obituary cited appears to be the source of the external link. It is cited here and nearly every paragraph here can be found in the obit. It would be better to tag any doubtful statements here with citation needed tags.Shyamal 01:29, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
Birth place?
Kofalk identifies Locust Grove as the homestead of FAMB's grandparents, and that it is near Leyden, New York. She was born on the Homewood estate that her father built near Locust Grove. It's not clear that Locust Grove was ever an identifiable place, and hence whether it should be given as FAMB's birthplace. I'm inclined to change it to Leyden, but I will consult additional sources.Dgorsline (talk) 17:52, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
FAMB collected in A Believing People?
I find it odd that FAMB is listed as an author collected in Cracroft and Lambert's A Believing People. There is no mention of Mormonism, indeed of any participation in organized religion, on the the part of FAMB in Kolfalk's biography. Birth name
Presumably her birth ("maiden") name was "Florence Augusta Merriam"? This should be in the article, and infobox. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 15:22, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
onesource tag
The article was tagged with onesource. The article primarily relies on Harriet Kofalk's monograph biography, No Woman Tenderfoot: Florence Merriam Bailey, Pioneer Naturalist, but it also incorporates material from contemporary obituaries and other sources. I doubt that most editors would fault Kofalk for verifiability or neutrality. I suggest removing the onesource tag. Dgorsline (talk) 12:20, 29 July 2019 (UTC)
