Ancient China subsection of Early history has some possible prose/spelling improvements. Replace first two sentences with: "The Chinese competitive game cuju is an early example of a football game. It was possibly played around the Han dynasty and early Qin dynasty, based on an attestation in a military manual from around the second to third centuries BC." Third sentence typo "passsing" -> "passing" 104.232.119.107 (talk) 01:28, 9 June 2024 (UTC)

Adding women's team pictures to the article

The article suggests that black male football is the default, even though in today's football culture women are also prominent. It would be nice to work towards a less biased representation. 91.26.10.99 (talk) 08:39, 20 June 2024 (UTC)

Present day codes and families

The table says that in Australian football players use "helmet, knee braces, shoulder pads, back supports, arm guards". This is simply wrong. Players use none of those things. HiLo48 (talk) 02:09, 12 June 2025 (UTC)
