When a person is paid in the form of 1099, all money earned by the individual is paid on an untaxed basis. It is then the responsibility of the individual to file and pay the appropriate taxes.

I believe these forms are issued by the IRS, so I'm placing it under category:IRS (which is a subcat of cat:taxation in the united states). Paul 07:39, 28 December 2005
