On October 15, in an interview with CNN, President Isaac Herzog revealed the document "The Captive Kidnapping Plan", found on the body of one of the terrorists, which details the instructions given to the terrorists on how to act when kidnapping the hostages. Among the trainings it is stated that the kidnappers must create chaos and intimidation through coercion and blindfolding of the captives, the use of electric shocks and the execution of any person who may pose a threat or distraction. The captors were also instructed to use the captives as cannon fodder if necessary. Also, in a method similar to the terrorist organization ISIS, the terrorists were required to record their actions live, and during the IDF attacks to execute the captives.

Two collectors and Elikim Liebman were considered kidnapped. It was announced that the remains of their bodies were found. Eliakim Liebman served as a security guard at the Nova party. The process of identifying the victims in the ambulance and nearby was long and complex. For example, it was only after more than forty days that the body of Shani Gabai, who was buried in another grave, was located and identified. In May 2024, the remains of Liebman's body were found, buried with Victoria Gorlov, who she and her partner Alex Smoilov also served as security guards at the party and were murdered.

This data is as of 27/01/2025: If Hamas abducted 251 people, and 124 of those were returned alive while 39 bodies were repatriated, then 251-124-39=88. But it says that 90 remain in captivity, with 3 hostages captured earlier, meaning that there are 87, not 88, October 7 hostages remaining in Gaza. The page currently says 32 Thai hostages were taken captive on 7 October 2023 and it states that 23 of the 32 Thai hostages were released between 24-30 November 2023. However, we know five (5) Thai hostages were released on 30 January 2025 and there are three (3) Thai hostages still in captivity in Gaza, two (2) killed by Hamas and one (1) still alive.

If you do the math, 32-23-5=4, so the math is off here by 1. Please change the total number of Thai hostages taken into captivity from 32 to 31 on 7 October 2023 under the Timeline section. 27.138.1.6 (talk) 09:19, 4 April 2025 (UTC)
