World heavyweight title

His last fight was billed for the heavyweight title. These things are important to list in the notes.CaPslOcksBroKEn (talk) 03:46, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

If you believe the ring announcers, just about every fight on pay TV involves some kind of world championship. ;) Still, according to Wikipedia itself, Michael Moorer became the "lineal" heavyweight champion when he defeated Evander Holyfield. Therefore, George Foreman captured that title when he KO'd Moorer. Although he was legislatively stripped of the alphabet soup (WBA, IBF and so on) titles, he would continue to hold the lineal version of the title until he was retired, inactive or (preferably) defeated in the ring. His fight with Shannon Briggs was thus a defense of the lineal title, an unsuccessful one. To acknowledge this, the table of Foreman's fights would have to be revised to include the lineal designation from the fights against Moorer through Briggs. :{{reply|WHPratt}} We don't list lineal titles in record tables or succession boxes per MOS:BOXING/WEIGHT. – 2.O.Boxing 12:47, 15 November 2021 (UTC)

::That's reasonable. WHPratt (talk) 20:31, 22 November 2021 (UTC)

Please remove this section:

before becoming the reverend at the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ[35] in Houston[36]

and add this in its place:

before becoming the minister of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Houston[35]

"reverend" is an adjective but not a specific position or job title, roughly like "his holiness". Conversely, "minister" is his role, as mentioned in the article's introduction. Also, citation #35 mentions that it's in Houston, so citation #36 is useless. 123.51.107.94 (talk) 00:30, 15 March 2023 (UTC)

In the intro it could be more emphasized that George also was the undisputed champion from 73 till 74 and lineal champion in both title reigns. 77.251.174.193 (talk) 00:15, 27 September 2023 (UTC)

Error in filmography

I believe there is an error in George Foreman's filmography because I know he starred in the show Better Late Than Never, yet it is not shown at all. You might want to fix that. 134.114.223.254 (talk) 02:37, 22 March 2025 (UTC)

A mistake

I accidentally reverted a pending revision by IP 125.214.86.223. I was not intending to do this. Wanted to clear this up. Thank you. Jlktutu (talk) 05:20, 22 March 2025 (UTC)

2 time Champ?

Why does the beginning of the article call him a 2 time champ? I count at least 5 in his titles section WrestlingLegendAS (talk) 14:22, 22 April 2025 (UTC)
