Graphite vs. graphitide
Why do these active metal compounds are named "graphites", not "graphitides" here? The IUPAC rules, as I understand them, of course, says the negative charge carrying homopolyatomic species should be named using -ide ending.International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry.
