Italy
Why there is no mention about involvement of Italy in the conflict? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.48.73.118 (talk) 21:07, 29 November 2016
Air bombardment claims
The site states "For 42 consecutive days and nights, the coalition forces subjected Iraq to the most intensive air bombardment in military history. The coalition flew over 100,000 sorties dropping 88,500 tons of bombs…" The data may be true, but the claim of "most intensive air bombardment in military history" is debatable and entirely subjective depending on what they are basing that claim on. Intensive means concentrated, but how are they determining that, by number/tonnage/area/sorties/time?
Until there is something to corroborate the claim, “the most” should either be changed to “one of the most” or “an” (with "in military history" removed). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.45.115.4 (talk) 09:53, 4 September 2017 (UTC)
Inclusion petition
I think the audio documentary/electronic music project "The Fire This Time" should be added to the "In popular culture" section! 2600:6C4A:427F:EB76:550D:3612:E41A:8652 (talk) 21:19, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
The Gulf war article is incorrect in the statement that it was the first to have live news reporting. This occurred in the Falklands war when the BBC reporting live on air described the build up of troops for an attack. Argentinians in the UK warned the Argentine authorities who warned their forces of the impending British Forces assault. 2A00:23C5:10A2:F100:55AC:9743:D0A8:4C0C (talk) 15:18, 4 February 2025 (UTC)

The information provided by Reference 359 is presented as being factual, however the article appears to be based on the substantially similar AF/91 hoax. Recommend adding a link to AF/91 page in a sentence to the effect of: While contemporary media at the time reported on various claims of new electronic warfare techniques and technology having been utilized in the 1991 Gulf War, these claims appear to have been largely based on the April Fools Day hoax referring to a virus that came to be known as AF/91.
Alternatively, recommend removing the 359 reference and associated text altogether. 2600:1000:B16C:2382:80B8:A9E5:C9F9:BE97 (talk) 14:46, 4 April 2025 (UTC)

Iraq's Allies
Didn't Iraq under Saddam Hussein get indirect support from Muammar Gaddafi's Libya, Omar al-Bashir's Sudan, King Hussein's Jordan and Chandra Shekhar's India? BuddyHeigh (talk) 20:15, 13 April 2025 (UTC)
Result
Iraq won the conflict. Bush allowed Saddam Hussein to remain in power after successfully invading and looting Kuwait in 1990, and Iraq publicly claimed victory in February 1991. 2A00:23C5:C419:D301:2CE3:F155:34D2:62B6 (talk) 11:26, 18 April 2025 (UTC)
:Excuse me what?
:what are you on how did Iraq win they were forced out of Kuwait and just because you claimed victory doesn't mean you won
:Iraq suffered 175000-to 300000 losses while the coalition suffered 13,488
:41 Iraqi divisions were destroyed William J Kennington (talk) 14:07, 23 April 2025 (UTC)
::The Red Army suffered far higher losses, yet the USSR won World War II. Egypt suffered huge losses during the Suez Crisis, yet emerged as the political victor. (2A00:23C5:C419:D301:8126:9917:BE20:7BB8 (talk) 16:06, 25 April 2025 (UTC))
