Contradiction in article

On the short description it states he was born in bruntswick.

But the actual text says he was born in Potsdam.

I dont know which one is correct but I needed to point that out. CaptnDomenik (talk) 04:12, 7 April 2020 (UTC)

Berr was born in Magdeburg, not Braunschweig

I did not check the sources cited for Braunschweig, but they are wrong: Berr was born in Magdeburg, his birth certificate is available online. The Prussian army lists his place of birth as Magdeburg, as does the official year book of his high school in Hamburg. The error may originally have been caused by details regarding his father Johann Emil Louis BERR (1859, who was a civil servant with the Reichspost in 1890 with the fairly modest title Ober-Postdirektionssekretär. Johann BERR was later to become Präsident of the Oberpostdirektion Braunschweig, a regional unit of the Reichspost. --Minderbinder (talk) 14:05, 20 February 2025 (UTC)
