From the article,

"He got an inadvertent assist from the Texas legislature, which left a heavily Republican section of San Antonio in the 23rd while carving the new 28th district out of much of the 23rd's territory."

I edited this sentence to have a more neutral tone, the use of "inadvertent" implies lack of deliberateness on the part of the Republian redistricting. I feel that the following sentence fixes this, without necessarily judging the redistricting.

"He got" is also very informal.

"He benefited from the 2003 redistricting by the Texas legislature, which left a heavily Republican section of San Antonio in the 23rd while carving the new 28th district out of much of the 23rd's territory."

The references in this article need some work- at least two are dead links and all are untitled. I'll be revising these.MStoke (talk) 06:27, 12 July 2009 (UTC)

I've noted the links that are currently no longer active and removed them where they were repeated. I'm going to try to find the originals (or find new ones if I can't get them)- the article also suffers somewhat from POV problems.MStoke (talk) 07:01, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
