The diffie-hellman example is not dubious
Hybrid mode cryptography versus hybrid cryptography
In the context of post-quantum cryptography, the term "hybrid mode" is being used to described the synthesis of two public-key crypto systems, one of which is pre-quantum and one of which is post-quantum. (See, e.g., the second bullet point in the description of Kyber given [https://pq-crystals.org/kyber/index.shtml here]. See also the discussion [https://groups.google.com/a/list.nist.gov/g/pqc-forum/c/qRP63ucWIgs/m/rY5Sr_52AAAJ here], where Dr. Markku-Juhani O. Saarinen raises this exact concern and suggests a terminology change for the so-called hybrid-mode cryptography.) I am new to Wikipedia editing but I thought that since I myself was confused by this when looking up more about this concept, I should start a discussion here and perhaps suggest adding a new page for hybrid-mode cryptography. 2211nasa (talk) 00:38, 16 July 2022 (UTC)
