Talk:Interrupt vector table

The entire text for an existing article at this location had been removed and replaced with a redirect to the "Interrupt Descriptor Table" article, which is descriptive specifically of the x86 implementation of this concept. This is a concept that applies to multiple processor architectures, and therefore, should have a generalized article. Information regarding specific implementations of this concept should be placed into sub-sections of the generalized article 75.84.15.136 (talk) 01:50, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

They're called interrupt vector tables on Intel. Leave well enough alone and don't apply the typical Wikipedia skew.

The lead says "An entry in the interrupt vector is the address of the interrupt handler." Shouldn't this read interrupt vector table? MaigoAkisame (talk) 13:16, 2 July 2017 (UTC)
