Nav box lists Illinois routes -- not Interstates
Since I-155 is an Interstate, the call to Template:il browse should show Interstates. Will (Talk - contribs) 03:59, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
:That is not correct per WP:USRD. --Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 04:07, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
It does not make sense to list IL-155 as the route before I-155. Will (Talk - contribs) 05:01, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
:It does as that is how the browse sequence goes- people browsing by number find that useful. All other state highway projects do that. --Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 05:13, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
:There is actually a rationale behind this, but I'm not sure if other state projects follow it:
:# On state highway pages (IL-155), the browse box is located in the infobox, and covers only state highways. However, there is a "see also" section that lists non-state highway pages.
:# On high-level detail Interstate or U.S. pages (I-155, U.S. 24), the browse box covers all varieties of highways. There's one on U.S. 24 that goes "IL 23 <-- (U.S. 24) --> I-24". In this system, ideally the order would be "SH X --> U.S. X --> I-X --> SH X+1 --> U.S. X+1 --> I-X+1..." Also note that the browse box links are exclusively linked to the state-level detail of the page (U.S., Interstate), even if it is an automatic redirect to another high-level detail page.
Any questions? —Rob (talk) 12:20, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
:That's not how it's supposed to work, all states are supposed to follow #2 above. --Rschen7754 (talk - contribs) 00:15, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
Even though I-180 and other 3 digit interstates are state specific, I have to consider them to be federal, not state, highways. Will (Talk - contribs) 00:07, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

IL 98 opened in the early 1960s?
Old maps show that the main road from Morton to Pekin was always in the same location. Is it the relocated IL 121 that opened in the 1960s? --NE2 18:29, 9 August 2017 (UTC)
