Edited false quote, replaced with accurate one from "Yahoo!"

Who's copied who?

I have seen a few stories on this and there are direct quotes from the articles presented elsewhere in this article. This leads me to believe that someone has just plagiarized most of this article and rearranged the sentences. Could someone with a bit of time fix this? Apolloae 00:36, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Adding the Complete Quote

It looks like you're right. The article has just been rearranged from the original source. One improvement may be to give Jan's full quote.

It is cited at John Fund's 'On the Trail' article:

[http://www.opinionjournal.com/diary/?id=110010195 John Fund's On the Trail]

"When I went into a coma, there was only tea and vinegar in the shops, meat was rationed, and huge gas lines were everywhere," he told Polish TV. "Now I see people on the streets with cell phones and there are so many goods in the shops it makes my head spin. What amazes me is all these people who walk around with their mobile phones and never stop moaning. I've got nothing to complain about."

The last two sentences have been left off of the original Reuters dispatch. I'm not sure why, because it is certainly a colorful (and perhaps meaningful) observation. I looked for a YouTube version, but couldn't find one. I seem to recall that Polish TV is usually a little late in making interviews available online, but we could add that URL once it is available for those who speak the language.

Different story

I am pretty sure he woke up earlier this year, giving him some time to relearn to speak etc. Yet, I had a hard time finding articles that were not based on the very first one (which are all like the BBC story in the references). [http://www.taipeitimes.com/News/world/archives/2007/06/15/2003365352 Here] is one from two weeks later, which sounds objective and matter-of-fact-like. Geke 00:31, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

CNN

The CNN link is dead. Anyone got a working URL? --Mûĸĸâĸûĸâĸû 22:26, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

Death?

Can we have a source for his death, and the cause? It would be interesting to know whether it was related to his tumour, or unrelated. -- Dandelions (talk) 19:24, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

He died from heart attack (Source in Polish: [http://wiadomosci.gazeta.pl/Wiadomosci/1,80708,6069998,Zmarl_Jan_Grzebski__dwa_lata_temu_wybudzony_z_19_letniej.html]). --Elvus (talk) 15:20, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
