This is for my girls

The song was released yesterday to iTunes, can however edit this page on regular basis add this? Szaboci (talk) 06:12, 16 March 2016 (UTC)

Singles and album count confusion?

The numbers said at the top of the page don't match what is listed in the charts below. For example, the intro paragraph says Monaé has five music videos, but the chart shows at least eight where the songs were her own songs. "Nine singles," but the chart shows WAY more than nine. 24.92.174.179 (talk) 17:56, 5 April 2016 (UTC)

this is for my girls

it is a charity single. A charity single section should be added. Girls,” which was executive produced by AOL's inspirational women's website MAKERS.com, will benefit the White House's Let Girls Learn campaign and the estimated 62 million girls globally without access to education. All proceeds from U.S. iTunes purchases of the song will go to the Peace Corps Let Girls Learn Fund. ref: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charity_record#2010s http://www.billboard.com/articles/chart-beat/real-time-charts/7262949/michelle-obama-clarkson-missy-this-is-for-my-girls-number-1-twitter-trending-140 Szaboci (talk) 22:46, 28 August 2016 (UTC)

Consensus on how many proper albums Monáe has in her discography ...

Should the self-released The Audition count as an official album in Janelle Monáe's discography? I've done a little searching around and have yet to find a reliable source that acknowledges it as such. Furthermore, [https://hiphopdx.com/news/id.46042/title.janelle-monae-admits-shes-scared-to-release-new-album-dirty-computer in this article] Monáe herself calls The ArchAndroid (which was commercially released 7 years later) her first album. Everyone, what's your thoughts? --Blastmaster11 (talk) 20:48, 24 February 2018 (UTC)

: Demo or EP - [https://books.google.com/books?id=zNk-BAAAQBAJ&pg=PA257&dq=%22monae%22+%22The+Audition%22&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiDvta8l8DZAhVoxFkKHTayBAAQ6AEIJzAA#v=onepage&q=%22monae%22%20%22The%20Audition%22&f=false This book's passage on Monáe] calls it a "demo", while [http://www.etonline.com/features/207208_standout_performance_janelle_monae_hidden_figures_moonlight these] [https://www.bricartsmedia.org/events-performances/janelle-monae two] call it an EP; I prefer "demo (music)" ("...a song or group of songs recorded for limited circulation or reference use rather than for general public release...") Dan56 (talk) 04:07, 25 February 2018 (UTC)

:: Thanks for the comment. I'm gonna have to agree and go with demo as well. --Blastmaster11 (talk) 19:41, 25 February 2018 (UTC)

::: ... Okay ... gonna change The Audition from "Studio album" to "Demo" - thus, The ArchAndroid will be labeled on here as Janelle's first studio album, The Electric Lady her second, and the forthcoming Dirty Computer as her third studio album. If anyone has any qualms with these changes, please discuss them now. --Blastmaster11 (talk) 16:16, 28 February 2018 (UTC)

::::I don't have any objection to what its classification is, but I don't think one person agreeing with you is a consensus. I think somebody uninvolved should determine a consensus when more editors comment. Ss112 17:01, 28 February 2018 (UTC)

::::: Was there a previous consensus on this? If not, there should not be a problem, unless someone is challenging making these changes; I have made these changes. Dan56 (talk) 08:13, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
