It also means a joke! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.25.168.38 (talk • contribs) 19:39, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- That is correct. However, it seems out of place given the subject matter.
:For what it's worth, at least it is noted here ;) Folajimi 20:21, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
In the dictionary it is: an amusing or humourous quip...
Jape are also a Dublin Based Electro-Indie group fronted by Redneck Manifesto bassist Richard Egan [http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=51545321 link] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.192.196.36 (talk • contribs) 17:20, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- Very well; Jape (disambiguation) has been updated to include the dictionary reference; a link was simply provided to the appropriate Wiktionary entry.
:As for the band, more information would be needed to create an article in the encyclopaedia. As it stands, Wikipedia frowns on the use of MySpace pages for references; however, the act has released multiple recordings (according to a certain [http://www.trustmeimathief.com/artists/jape.html record label]). This will go a long way in helping to satisfy the notability requirement for inclusion in the encyclopaedia.
:FWIW, it seems that they have been mentioned in The Irish Times (see aforementioned record label link), as well as at [http://entertainment.ie/event/Jape/2334491.htm entertainment.ie]. If you are privy any other information that will help establish notability per the guidelines outlined at WP:MUSIC, please share. --Cheers, Folajimi (leave a note) 17:55, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
I think the current version is written in Java, not ML as stated. The source is available on sourceforge. Rmkeller (talk) 18:54, 11 February 2013 (UTC)
