Reconsider decission from 15 years ago
15 years ago it was correctly decided that it should be a redirect to Jehovah's Witnesses.
But a lot has happened in the last 15 years as you know. "Google, with 1.7 billion users worldwide, offers language options in 287 languages, the jw.org website, with only 8.6 million readers," provides content in 1084 language options. That is 95 languages more than 3 years ago.
The website is now notable as it's being available in over 1080 languages, including 109 sign languages, providing literature in even more languages. It has languages in which only jw.org provides written publications. It also hosts the worlds only complete Bible in American Sign Language.
Most languages are available on Wikidata too, as can seen below.
I believe that just as the Polish Wikipedia has done (here: :pl:Jw.org), a stand alone page for English Wikipedia is justified.

To quote [https://atlaslocalization.com/behind-the-scenes-of-the-worlds-most-translated-website/ atlaslocalization.com] :
{{quote|It’s not particularly surprising that the website offering the most language options in the world is focused on religious teachings rather than commercial purposes. This is because people view jw. org as a source of religious revelation and seek to spread it to the entire world. It is understandable that a faith that wants to spread all over the world should be found in every language.}}
Now, I hear you all think.. here's a JW that wants to promote their website. And you would basically be right. I am a Jw and i do want to promote our website, so I say it up front, that I won't want to write the article, as to "keep my bias out". That can be read above here.
But I do hope you guys agree, that there is enough notability for it to become a page on itself now.

:No. As stated at the JW WikiProject talk page, an article about the website itself would be promotional. (And that was before I saw your admission here that you are trying to promote the site.) Very inappropriate. Also, your characterisation of the site as 'notable' on the basis that it is 'translated into a lot of languages' is not Wikipedia's basis for 'notability'. Additionally, the claim that the site is the 'most translated' is misleading because it is not the case that everything on the site is available in all the languages; for many of the languages, only a small subset of the site's content is available, and many redirect to an English page with a very limited number of publications available for download in the target language..--Jeffro77 Talk 01:31, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
::It's actually not misleading at all. It's never said that it translates all the pages. But the core language of the website is translated. It's the same with Wikipedia.
::Wikipedia is translated in about 290 languages. But that is the core languages that you can choose in your preferences, as well as visit separately under wikipedia.org
::Try a Greenlandic Wikipedia, or another little one with few pages. And others who are mostly copy pasting articles from other wiki's by bots and basically Google Translate everything.
::The website's core pages have been translated in over 1080 languages. But some aren't translated, but still offer literature in languages that the website can't be, like Electronic Braille.
::There are 109 Sign languages available, which all contain video's in sign language.
::So by your statement, we have to believe that Wikipedia is not translated into 290 languages, as not all the pages are translated in other languages.
::Now I do not want to argue about this, but I feel that if you make a claim, make it stick. And I know your pov towards the witnesses. We're standing on totally opposite sides. But that's why I posted it here, in stead of just writing it and getting you on my neck :-)
::I wish you a good evening, and perhaps others view it differently. Or not! In any case, I gave it a shot. Kind regards, Rodejong 💬 ✉️ 02:14, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
:::False comparison and false equivocation. It is not clear where your statement that "Wikipedia is translated in 290 languages" is drawn from. Wikipedia has content in a number of languages (326), but there is no claim that 'the Wikipedia site is translated into 290 languages'. And it still isn't the basis for notability. (Also, the use of a third-party tool such as Google Translate is not relevant to the number of languages in which a site itself is translated by the publisher.) The claim that "The website's core pages have been translated in over 1080 languages" also remains false, as many actually provide an English page with English menus, with just a small amount of content or just some downloadable files, in the target language. So, if you just mean that translating the 'core interface' constitutes translation of the site, that still isn't true of the claim about 1080 languages for the JW website.--Jeffro77 Talk 02:20, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
The use of JW.Org just may constitute a copyright violation against Jehovah's Witnesses official site
I think the redirect should either go to the official site or be removed entirely.Willietell (talk) 22:53, 17 March 2025 (UTC)
:You clearly don't have a good grasp of what constitutes copyright infringement. And Wikipedia articles never redirect to external websites. The redirect is exactly as it should be.--Jeffro77 Talk 09:37, 28 March 2025 (UTC)
