Proper designation

What is this aircraft's proper designation - the article uses a mix of "C-X", "XC-2" and "C-2". It isn't always clear which designation relates to which stage of the development process.

As I understand it the initial design was called "C-X", the test prototype(s) "XC-2" and the actual certified production version is the "C-2". I'm not at all sure that I understand it correctly and the article (as it is now) doesn't really help to clarify the matter. Roger (talk) 08:18, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
