Hawaiian
Kevin Mawae is a full-blooded Hawaiian. Bears center Olin Kreutz is half. They BOTH need to be linked under the category "Hawaiian-Americans" or "Hawaiian-American sportspeople/football players".... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.15.232.136 (talk) 17:41, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Suggestion to correct, expand part of this article
{{edit COI|A}}I'd like to propose a couple of changes to this article. First, I should note that I am here as a consultant to the NFLPA, of which Mr. Mawae was previously an official. Therefore, I'd prefer not to edit directly but rather win consensus for changes. Here's what I suggest:
- There is currently a two-sentence section called {{oldid|Kevin_Mawae|549513480#NFL_Players_Association|NFL Players Association}}, which misstates the date and circumstances of the end of his NFLPA presidency, and says nothing about what occurred during his tenure. I'd like to propose a modestly expanded and retitled version of this section, presented below as I think it should appear, with markup in case others agree:

- Relatedly, there is no mention of the NFLPA in the introduction whatsoever. I'd suggest a new final sentence of the introductory paragraph, as follows:
