Merge

{{closed|1=Outcome was: merged/redirected|text=

I do not see how this holy well site meets WP:GEOFEAT. It is one of many (many) holy wells in the area, and this one is the subject of no more coverage/folklore/etc than any of the others. That this article (for a very long time) conflated two different wells on the banks of the Awbeg (20km apart) is an indicator of this issue. All I can find (in terms of coverage) is the directory-style entry in the NMS record. And some archived local interest webpages (which could, perhaps, have even been based on this article). I propose to summarise and merge the content here (mostly folklore and more recent but obviously "made up" stuff about "missing [solid] gold gates") to River_Awbeg#Holy_wells. Per WP:WITHIN. And as an alternative to deletion. Per WP:ATD-R. Guliolopez (talk) 13:41, 16 August 2024 (UTC)

:Bump. If there are no other thoughts, I'll likely go ahead with the merge/redirect in the coming days. Guliolopez (talk) 19:21, 21 August 2024 (UTC)

::{{resolved1}} OK. Not having heard any other thoughts, I've gone ahead with the [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=River_Awbeg&diff=prev&oldid=1242385370 merge] and [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Knockanare_Well&diff=1242385714&oldid=1242384740 redirect].
