Girlfriend story
this is just speculation and the second report is from a gossip website, where they received reports from unclaimed sources. There is a disclaimer on the website of the Gossip column saying so, so we cant take it as fact. Nobody knows if she is a gf, and also, not relevant to this article and its not been confirmed.
Birth place and mother's name
Done my research with what reliable docs available, unless anyone has valid docs to ref, i beleive his birthplace is Tampa, (as mentioned in Dog's autobiography),the same as his older brother DL, as that was Dog's residence at the time of his arrest back in 1976. i havent found anything about his mother's middle name, so it has to be deleted according to wikipedia's guidelines. If anyone out there, these socalled knowitalls, please provide docs to prove it, as per wikipedia's guidelines.
: Some of the sources I found stated that he was born in Groom, Texas. I am not sure, however, about the reliability of these websites so I refrained from editing the reference to Tampa. If there are those who have access to more authoritative info, please help with this detail. Thanks. Darwin Naz (talk) 13:16, 3 July 2019 (UTC)
Full Blood Brother
What is wrong with that little bit of information? and why do i keep frigging deleting it? 1) In DL's article, i already mentioned the fact he works with his brother, yet somebody recently edited in about his Full Blood Brother. 2)yes, it is a fact, what pisses me off is the capital letters in the middle of a sentence 3) please, these pages are edited by fans of the show and the Chapmans so if you have smug information, its already there if you read it 4)sometimes poeple are putting in facts in the irrelevant topics because people arent reading the articles properly, we have facts all over the place and the article is messed up and hard to follow.
No wonder these pages are watched, because some users arent reading the article properly and they are not placing relevant facts in the right sections. These pages arent just for the fans, it was never meant to be for the fans to post their little knowledge they have, its an enclycopedia of our current media trends and well known historical/current affair figures for other users to read about. does it sound like i am telling off, probably, but this page is to discuss and for us users to communicate about this article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mj2fedup (talk • contribs) 11:53, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
Middle Name
I just corrected the spelling on his middle name. The source proves his middle name is spelled "Blane" not "Blaine". Please don't change it. Edgehead5150 (talk) 06:47, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

References
why was the references removed. it is a relevant article relating to his personal life. The magazine is now available free from the publisher's website as a sample issue for all to view, thus it being not can be included here as a reference.
And i am only following the guidelines given to us by the peeps at Wikipedia as stated at the TOP of the article of Leland Chapman Mj2fedup (talk) 23:27, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
Is there a reason why the same person keeps removing my reference of the Stone magazine without any reason. if you feel it should not be included, please discuss. Mj2fedup (talk) 15:28, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
We need links and sources to back up your picture claims of his personal life
Can everyone remember that this is an encyclopedia.
All i am seeing is quotes from the TV show or the book. We need to source that info with links, not quote it word for word. We only need to be concerned about in the article is the facts/history/dates, and the impact it may have on media/news. Wikipedia is about facts and figures. sorry to say this, but anything else is irrelevant, i believe.Mj2fedup (talk) 11:42, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
To anyone else that is thinking about editing this page, i am merely following the guidelines given to me by the peeps at wikipedia. everyone else should do the same. read the guidelines before editing anything on wikipedia.Mj2fedup (talk) 11:46, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
To those that moaned about the Editing done on this article
What's with the pictures??
LOL!! I had a fit of giggles seeing that picture. Who is the person on the pic and does it have anything to do with the article?
Do not merge
Why would you merge this? This guy is a reality TV "star." He has been seen with Tito Ortiz the UFC fighter and may have a future in that sport as well.
Skeeter08865 20:26, 7 January 2006 (UTC)
:Since he has appeared on other shows as well, it won't be merged. Disinclination 02:26, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
What the hell is spizoiky??
Stop it with the Janine Douglas rumours. she was never his gf, those photos were fake, and she continues this even though we know they are fake.
The history section in particular is written like a child's book report. I believe the entire section needs to be rewritten. 216.69.63.254 22:19, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
Too many edits??
why are there too many edits on this article?
why does this Janine Douglas gets a mention even though it is merely gossip and have no ounce to truth to this rumour.Whilst
should this person be stopped if they are not adhering to rules or guidelines set out when they first created their account here.
just thought i leand is hot because i have never come across an article with so many edits.
By the way, one of the links in the Note section no longer active. Page either now deleted ir moved and has no info on what this article was about. Is it relevant to the article at all?Mj2fedup 08:59, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
"Uncle Tim"
Tim Chapman isn't actually related to them--he's just an old family friend and business partner that happens to have the same last name. They just call him 'uncle'.
Tim is related he's Duane's (dog's) brother.
"Notes"
This section is protected? May i ask why? I already discussed the 'Sacbee' link. This has no relevance to this article and i cant remove it.
SaChapman,
Enough with your story of being the mother of Leland Chapmans child and his fiance.
This is untrue and by constantly editing the page with this story is according to the guidelines vandalisim.

Unsourced material
I would like to ask 94.169.233.65 to stop edit-warring (as [https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/w/index.php?title=Leland_Chapman&action=historysubmit&diff=348510577&oldid=348481373 here]) on unsourced details about Chapman's personal life, criminal history and supposed business failures. Please read the note about the "policy on biographies of living persons" on top of this talk page, or Wikipedia:Verifiability#Burden_of_evidence:
:The burden of evidence lies with the editor who adds or restores material ... Do not leave unsourced or poorly sourced material in an article if it might damage the reputation of living persons or organizations, and do not move it to the talk page
I did a quick check on dogthebountyhunter.com and couldn't find these facts mentioned there.
Personal Life section removed
Granted the material should have been incorporated, and referenced, but shouldn't unsourced have been LABELED not removed? It might have been more helpful to seek out a reference and add it, rather than simply excise potentially valuable biographical info. Dfoofnik (talk) 19:18, 29 December 2015 (UTC)
Wiki's biography policy is meant to reduce "contentious or libelous" content, not all poorly sourced, or most pages would be empty. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dfoofnik (talk • contribs) 19:23, 29 December 2015 (UTC)

Leland Chapman worthy of Wikipedia page, but article dated
Living person Leland Chapman is certainly notable enough for a Wikipedia page, but a lot of the edits are dated and don't match the standards of newer articles. One entry literally says "It is speculated..." - Ellipsis used to hint at the possibility of further development should be used in story books, not in an encyclopedia.
