I named this "express and multi-borough bus routes" because of the QBx1. --NE2 02:35, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

Old numbers

A 1976 Manhattan map shows the x23, now the x90.

A 1985 Queens map shows the x63, x64, and x68 as the x20, x24, and x18. The x51 had the same number as now. --NE2 09:49, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

BQM1 to become BM5

[http://www.subchat.com/buschat/read.asp?Id=55625 Message board thread about this renumbering]. I have placed this here until the MTA makes the change offical. Ken S. 19:05, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Whatever happened to the X80?

The title pretty much says all. I remember seeing this route on bus signs in green, and if I'm right, it operated (or still operates) in Manhattan. What happened to it, because I don't see it on the list. —User:{{{User (User talk:{{{User Special:Contributions/{{{User  Special:Emailuser/{{{User) 01:13, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

:Placed under the "Special Event" subsection of express routes.--AEMoreira042281 (talk) 01:08, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Naming of each "group" of express routes (and a missing route)

Wouldn't it make more sense to "name" these by AM peak direction? (Example: Queens to Manhattan)

(I realize that each section shows "peak" or "daily" service...but...)

Remember also, these routes were named with the "outer" borough as the prefix and with the "X" suffix way back when. (Example: Q51X)

Thanks for your consideration.

PS - also need x32 (Queens to Bronx) thrown in.

QBx1 question

Shouldn't the QBx1's wikitable be moved to List of bus routes in Queens, and just have the route added to the "Local" list of List of express and multi-borough bus routes in New_York_City, but also rename that "Local" section to "MTA New York City Bus and MTA Bus Company"? Note that numerous Bus Company routes are already (erroneously) listed under "New York City Bus" in that section. Also, please note in Talk:List_of_bus_routes_in_Queens, there is a negative entry in respect to what I'm asking. Please advise, as the QBx1 seems to be the only local route with a multi-borough prefix, but since the "first" prefix is "Q", shouldn't it be included primarily on the Queens routes page?

Table Cleanup

I've taken a bit of break for a while, and things have gotten sort of messy. The point is, something needs to be done to clean up the express bus table. The current table, looks like this:

class="wikitable" style="font-size: 95%;" |

!Route

!Service

!colspan=2|Terminals

!Manhattan
streets traveled

!Staten Island
streets traveled

!Notes/History

X1

|

  • Peak
  • Reverse peak
  • Midday
  • Evening
  • Saturday
  • Sunday

|Eltingville Transit Center

|Midtown Manhattan
Central Park South

|5 Avenue/6 Avenue, Broadway

|Hylan Boulevard, Richmond Avenue

|

  • Some peak service begins/terminates at 23rd Street.

I would like to revise it to look like this:

class=wikitable style="font-size: 95%;" |

!Route

!colspan=2|Terminals

!via

!Notes/History

style="background:white; color:black" align="center" valign=top|
x1
http://mta.info/nyct/bus/schedule/xpress/x001cur.pdf X1 schedule

|Midtown Manhattan
Central Park South and Seventh Avenue

|Eltingville Transit Center

|In Manhattan: Sixth Avenue (NB) & Fifth Avenue, Broadway (SB)
In Staten Island: Hylan Boulevard, Richmond Avenue

|

  • Daily service
  • Some peak hour service terminates at 23rd Street

The new table would do away with the two separate column listing for the streets used along the route, and the service column, which could easily be replaced with something in the notes/history to the effect of "Daily service" as seen above, or something more fleshed out, like here. • Done---and took it a step further, as per suggestion in the Bus routes in Queens talk (merged all NYCT and MTA Bus info). --AEMoreira042281 (talk) 05:24, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

:Thanks. I was going to finish it, but things got in the way. Pacific Coast Highway {talkcontribs} 17:56, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

TransportAzumah

TransportAzumah is operating buses and vans using the X25, X29, X90, and QM22 designations for starters.

The "X" Problem

I've seen pages like "QM1 (New York City bus)" and "BM5 (New York City bus)" just redirect to the specified bus numbers, but ones such as "X1 (New York City bus)" and "X17 (New York City bus)"(<-This route doesn't really exist along) does not redirect very well. Any fix possible? (Not mandatory, but those links helped me success at making specific local and express bus template. Thank You!) —Preceding unsigned comment by "SimonOrJ"(U/T/C) added 03:28, 5 April 2012 (UTC).
