Someone's blog

I've semi-protected the article again due to the persistent re-insertion of content based on some blog, as was done [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_films_banned_in_Malaysia&diff=569307838&oldid=569002390 here]. Enough already--this blog is not reliable and the addition and attendant edit warring is disruptive. Drmies (talk) 01:20, 20 August 2013 (UTC)

Final Destination 2 was not banned. I know this because I saw it at the cinema. Also the source cited for this does not list any Final Destination film. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.127.194.165 (talk) 10:13, 14 April 2014 (UTC)

I saw 'Aliens', "Final Destination 2' , Matrix 2 & 3 at the cinema in KL. They were not banned. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.25.62.130 (talk) 07:39, 13 January 2020 (UTC)

Someone's blog

This article seems to contain a lot of inaccuracy. I remember I watched wanted in a theater in Malaysia. Also, while American Beauty may be banned (I didn't really know) I did watch it in local television station.

Better criteria for "banned" movies, more valid sources

Would a film really be "banned" by the censors if it was available for screening on TV (pay-per-view or free-to-air) or home video release? Also, we need sources more credible than "List of Bests" for further verification. I'm talking about archives spanning many years from newspapers like New Straits Times and The Star, the Arkib Negara Malaysia even...just my suggestion.

Lists of Bests

In response to a recent attempt to delete the article, I have removed all references from the (now dead) user-generated site http://www.listsofbests.com/, which is not RS; as well as all unsourced entries. As someone had restored these entries following a previous cut, DO NOT RESTORE THEM. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 09:11, 6 June 2021 (UTC)

:{{ping|LaundryPizza03}} Looks like it reference linked to IMDb, and it's considered unreliable. --49.150.116.127 (talk) 14:34, 2 September 2021 (UTC)

Wording needs changing on 'Dallas Buyers Club'

The wording on the section regarding the film 'Dallas Buyers Club' needs changing as it doesn't make sense in its current form ("Banned due to a religious, cultural and moral grounds.") Xboxsponge15 (talk) 00:16, 30 October 2023 (UTC)

Wording needs changing on 'Banglasia'

The wording on the section regarding the film 'Banglasia' needs changing as it doesn't make sense in its current form ("On 12 February 2019, the ban was lifted when LPF approved the film undergone 7 scenes reedits or cut"). Xboxsponge15 (talk) 00:19, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
