:List of Donegal people → {{no redirect|List of people from County Donegal}} – This list is for people from the county and the current title may be ambiguous with Donegal (town). The proposed title is consistent with the guidelines at MOS:IRISHCOUNTIES. Declangi (talk) 20:53, 18 May 2025 (UTC)

In addition to the points raised above, I would note that other articles from around the world in :Category:Lists of people by first-level administrative country subdivision also follow the format {{xtn|List of people from X}}. If this move is successful, I would suggest there would be a strong WP:CONSISTENT argument to move all articles in :Category:Lists of Irish people by county to this format.
