"Notable people" bloat
Hello Wikipedians. For future reference, we do not need an exhaustive list of people born on Long Beach since categories more than suffice there. I would like to limit the list to 8 people maximum, but I'm not sure what Wiki standards there are for that. In the meantime, I have removed unsourced people from the section to establish a notability standard. Please leave comments and concerns here. Ornov Ganguly TALK 15:29, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
:I disagree on limiting the list to 8 without splitting. If they have wiki-articles, they are notable. I'd consider splitting to a separate listicle. glman (talk) 18:47, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
::In my view, categories outclass listicles. It's a very slippery slope if simply being born somewhere makes you notable enough for the creation of an article. Categories are more efficient to this end. Ornov Ganguly TALK 17:42, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
