the article refers to Lowell Barron as being the only write-in candidate ever elected in Alabama but does not cite any proof of this. Alabama gained statehood in 1819 and other candidates for public office have attained election thru write in candidacy.
The article desires to picture Barron as a benevolent benefactor and does not stick to fact based information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.162.233.172 (talk) 18:02, 8 December 2007 (UTC)

{{Substituted comment|length=479|lastedit=20070612171527|comment=Mr. Barron's write-in candidacy and office is not verifiable and should be deleted from the article. Prove that he is the only office holder in state history to be elected as a write-in candidate before making a statement.
Mr. Barron's article is that of an insignificant person and is not worthy of a page in Wikipedia.
The use of language SOB is uncalled for and could have been expressed in a less than explicit way and violates Wikipedia policy regarding use of profanity.}}
